Driving voluminous machines has become his specialty

Today we are proud to present the young driver Adrien Berger, who is just 25 years old. He first graduated with a Federal Certificate of Competence (CFC) in agriculture and then went on to study for a CFC as a heavy vehicle driver in order to follow in the footsteps of his uncle, himself an auxiliary driver in our company, Friderici Special.

Adrien has been working with us since he started his apprentice in 2017 and is now a member of the Routiers Suisses. Adrien emphasises the importance of being passionate about this profession in order to be able to do it, a passion that has driven him since he was very young.

Indeed, driving machines of this size is not for everyone. Adrien wanted to take up this challenge. For the moment, his record for the length he transported was the transport of metal parts that measured almost 25 metres! Exceptional transport does not scare him, on the contrary, Adrien is always ready to take on new challenges.

Among his tasks, Adrien also had the opportunity to show us the extent of his skills during the transport of several elements of a ventilation system from the Friderici Spécial storage centre in Tolochenaz to the construction site in Aubonne (VD). This project required no less than three trips on a low loader. Complex reversing manoeuvres with obstructions did not make the task any easier for Adrien, who managed to do it without any difficulty thanks to his unequalled concentration and calm.

Adrien also had the opportunity to transport exceptional goods within Europe, passing through the other end of France, Belgium, Spain, Italy and even Germany. These were enriching experiences for our young driver who had the chance to meet professionals in the road sector who were impressed by his dexterity for his young age.
